Rick Kramer, winner of the young talent category, has published in international trade journals such as Building and Environment, Journal of Building Engineering, Building Research and Information, Energy and Building, but also in TVVL Magazine and Building Physics. He presented at international conferences such as the Windsor Conference, Nordic Symposium on Building Physics in Lund and IndoorAir 2016 in Ghent.
His cum laude PhD research “Clever climate control for culture: energy efficient indoor climate control strategies for museums respecting collection and thermal comfort or visitors” led by Henk Schellen and Bert Blocken was rated as the best promotion of the Faculty of Architecture of Eindhoven University of Technology. For his articles about the indoor climate in museums and the field of tension between requirements of staff, visitors and museum collection, Rick Kramer received the B.J. Max Prijs 2019 in the young talent category.
